The press is now playing a big and vital role in any society because of its wide spread across different segments of society.

The journalist must therefore engage in media activity, committed to the ethics of his profession and not to offend it.

This study aims to highlight the legal impact that media offences have on media activity in Algeria because of the special nature of these crimes, which distinguishes them from common law offences through the public domain, in accordance with the Media Code and the Penal Code.
