Abstract EN

This study aimed to clarify the reality of funding using the patnership formula in the Islamic banks of Jordan during the period (2007 - 2017) and to highlight the obstacles that prevented the expansion of these banks in the use of their funds using that formula.

To achieve its objectives, the study used the descriptive method and analytical approach and the method of induction and deductive approach.

The study concluded by analyzing the data that there is a significant decrease in the proportion of participation financing to the total funding granted by these banks.

The study then extrapolated the obstacles that prevent the expansion of Islamic banks in Jordan using that formula and recommended that the Islamic banks to expand the use of financing participation and seek to overcome the obstacles to search for investment opportunities appropriate to the requirements of the contract of participation.
