Abstract EN

This research presents an important topic related to the family and the protection of its privacy.

It highlights a contemporary family problem, namely, "electronic spying among family members." The study hinges upon an inductive and analytical method and concludes that the honors, sanctities and private secrets of man are preserved rights of every Muslim, especially if there is no suspicious situation to justify the opposite.

The permissibility of electronic espionage in Shari'a is not justifiable unless with the existence of evidence, strong signs, and reasons such as a necessity or a most superior interest.

UAE law incriminates electronic spying, interference in private affairs of persons and their family affairs, and forbids access to private correspondences without prior permission.
