Abstract EN

The study aims to determine the impact of parallel exchange rate on consumer price index in Algeria during the period 1990-2020 using ARDL model, were used an independent variable representing parallel exchange rate and the dependent variable represented consumer price index.

the study reached a number results the most important of a long term equilibrium relationship as well as the short term (error correction model) between the variable of exchange rate and consumer price index, a positive relationship between them in short term but the parallel exchange rate will play a negative role in consumer price index in long term.
