Abstract EN

This research addresses the phenomenon of deviating from the origin among morphological derivatives and its impact on the meanings of the Quranic words: A study of the book Majaz Al-Quran by Abi-Obydah Momar Ibn Al-Muthana.

The study includes two sections.

The first section is introductory and it is divided into two parts; the first introduces Imam Abe-Obydah and his book Majaz Al-Quran, while the second talks about the concept of "morphological deviation".

In the applied section - which is the study’s major part – the author shifts focus from theory to practice by exploring two themes: the first draws on several sections from Majaz Al-Quran where the author (God bless his soul) mentions this phenomena in Quran.

The second theme revolves around Abe-Obydah's method in studying this phenomenon.

This research is meant to show the reader the efforts of Abi-Obydah, his methods in studying this type of Quranic verses, his position on this phenomenon, and his role in rooting the studies that approached this subject in detail as one of the pioneers who interpreted the holly Quran.

The research concludes with several results and facts, followed by the list of cited works.
