Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the effect of a program in developing psychological security for a sample of children with special needs, and the research relied on the experimental method.

The sample consisted of (60) male and female students with behavioral and emotional disorders, who were distributed into two groups: one experimental and the other control.

The study relied on the Birx scale for assessing behavior, and the psychological security scale prepared by Al-Najjar (2012), and a program for developing psychological security prepared by the researchers.

The results of the study indicated that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the post-test for the experimental and control groups, and the difference was in favor of the experimental group, and this indicates the positive impact of the presented program.

Also, it was found that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the averages of change between the pre- and post-test for the two experimental and control groups in psychological security, and this is evidence of the impact of the program and its role in developing psychological security for the experimental group of behaviorally and emotionally disturbed children..

In light of the results, a number of recommendations and suggestions were presented.
