The study aimed to identify the concept and most important means of new media content as well as comparing between new and traditional media and clarify how the new media has affected traditional media.
moreover, study the impact of new media content on Saudi community’s trends towards the principles of patriotism.
the study reached a set of findings, the most important are; there is a direct positive effect of the new media content and the trends of the Saudi community towards the prin-ciples of patriotism from the perspective of the study sample.
this effect is equal be-tween males and females, as well as between different age groups and different educa-tional qualifications.
it became clear that there are differences between the usages of new media for the study sample.
the study found that Facebook and WhatsApp are the most used and influential platforms on the study sample.
the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important are; it is neces-sary for governments to make good use of the new media, considering them as effective means of communicating with citizens and getting to know their problems.
it is important to develop the content of the new media, given these means have proven to be more effective in community than traditional media.
held seminars to clarify and take into ac-count the most important positive aspects of the new media as well as the most im-portant negative aspects to be avoided.
it is necessary for state to precisely define the desired media goals, and then divide them in time and in stages.
integrating these goals with the goals of social development institutions are very essential and achieve them simultaneously.
the interest of community institutions to re instill religious, Arab and civi-lized values, and not to give up them in favor of the means of virtual community.
