Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of venture capital as a modern technology for financing startups by presenting Algeria’s experience in this field.

In order to identify the importance of this technique, we reviewed both the scientific rooting of risk capital on the one hand and the evaluation of the financing activity of the Algerian-European financial company FINALEP on the other hand.

The study concluded that venture capital is the most important financing alternative for emerging institutions, due to several considerations, the most important of which is the compatibility of the nature and objective of financing with the nature of these institutions, as it stems from a creative idea, which includes transforming it into a project with a high level of risk that requires the use of companies specialized in accompanying and financing Such as venture capital companies.
