Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of self-esteem of a sample of secondary school students, Gezira State, Abuguta administrative unity-Sudan.

and to find out any statistically significant differences between the means of the sample members due to these variables: gender and specialization.

to achieve this objective, the researcher used the descriptive survey method on a sample which consisted of (120) students who were randomly selected.

the researcher prepared a questionnaire of self-esteem.

the final version consisted of (22) items.

the study results revealed that the level of self-esteem of students of the secondary school, Gezira State, Abuguta administrative unit was high.

there were also significant differences in the mean of students’ responses that can attributed to these variables: gender and specialization
