This study aims to identify the degree of application of the first three grades female teachers to the strategies of teaching reading skills in the reading and mathematics initiative in Tafilah governorate, the study sample consisted (36) female teachers of the first three grades teachers in government schools in the directorate of education in Tafilah governorate for the academic year 2020/2021, and to achieve this study objective a study tool was developed observation card and after verifying the tool validity and stability, it was formed of (24) items divided into four areas, and arithmetic means, standard deviations and analysis of variance were used to extract the results, the study result showed that the degree of application of the first three grades female teachers to the strategies of teaching reading skills in the reading and mathematics initiative was high, there were no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (a= 0.05) in the degree of application of the first three grades female teachers to the strategies of teaching reading skills in the reading and mathematics initiative due to the variable of experience and academic qualification, but there are statistically significant differences at the same level of significance (a= 0.05) due to the grade variable in vocabulary skill and in favor of the third grade, this study recommends the necessity of holding training workshops to train female teachers to apply reading skills effectively, holding learning societies to transfer experiences between teachers, take care of the classroom environment and improve it to support the implementation of the initiative strategies within the classroom.
