Abstract EN

The study examined one of the most important challenges that faced Jordanian national security during the second decade of the twenty-first century, represented by the terrorist organization Islamic State "ISIS" 2014-2016.

It was found through the study that despite the rapid expansion of the organization in the neighboring communities of Jordan, it failed to implement its terrorist plans aimed at undermining Jordan's security and stability, and forming supportive incubators for it among the Jordanian society, as a result of the strength of the Jordanian security apparatus, and its balanced and evolving strategy in facing the organization and the state of cohesion between all components of the state and society in Jordan to confront this challenge and thwart its terrorist plans.
