Abstract EN

The article reviews the reading and analysis of environmental impact studies as a means of early warning and avoiding environmental impacts.

During this study, we used the analytical and historical approach to monitor public policies to study the impact in Algeria and its effectiveness in the field, where the emphasis was on the areas of its application and its content.

The results showed that more progress had been made in studies, laws and conferences, and that associative and institutional activity had developed.

Despite this, the environmental degradation resulting from development activity has not been reduced and all that has been accomplished in practice is only a small and simple contribution.
