Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the contribution of both positive thinking and social concern in predicting self-compassion among juvenile delinquents in Gaza governorates.

The study sample consisted of (45) delinquents who were subjected The two .to partial sentences.

The study used the descriptive analytical method researchers used the scale of positive thinking, social concern, and self- compassion, which they prepared.

The results of the study showed that there is a positive relationship between all domains of the self-compassion and social interest scale in the study sample.

It also showed a positive relationship between the scale of self-compassion and social interest in the study sample, except for the area of positive acceptance of difference from others, where there was no correlation between it and the general feeling of satisfaction.

It also showed a positive relationship between the domains of the measure of self-compassion and social interest in the study sample, while the results showed that social interest and positive thinking have a statistically significant effect in predicting self- compassion.

In light of the results, the two researchers recommend those responsible for the care of juvenile delinquents to develop and introduce social programs aimed at integrating juveniles into society, in order to increase the effectiveness of social interest in them.
