Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the most common career tendencies of high school students and exploring the most common personality traits of high school students.

The study uses the correlational descriptive approach.

Also, the researcher choses a simple random sample from the study population, of 372 male and female students and distributes the questionnaire copies to them; 324 valid drafts are retrieved for analysis, i.e.

with a retrieval rate of 87%.

The researcher designs two tools: the personality traits scale and the career tendency scale.

The study shows several results; mainly, the total means of responses of the sample at the "neuroticism / emotional balance" is (3.35 out of 5) with a relative weight of 67%, with an average level of agreement, and there is a means of neuroticism/emotional balance among secondary school students in Gaza Strip.

Then, the "Extraverted / Introverted" axis has a means of (78%), with a high level of agreement, followed by "Purity / Openness to Experience" axis with a relative weight of 78.8% and a high level of agreement.

Then comes the axis of "Kindness/Acceptability / Compatibility" with a relative weight of 83.4% and a high level of agreement.

Finally, the axis of "conscience / devotion / self-awareness" comes with a relative weight of 82.6% and a high level of agreement.

The results also shows that the means of the responses of the sample on the axis of "realistic tendencies" has a relative weight of 72.8% and the axis of "analytical tendencies" gets at a relative weight of 76.8%.
