Those who follow what the orientalists wrote about the Islamic heritage finds himself in front of countless references about the Islamic Waqf system, acquainted with it, amazed at its penetration in various fields at times, and criticizing it at other times.

Perhaps the height of these researchers 'interest in the Islamic Waqf system is that they devote independent studies to it, during which they dealt with what they knew about it, whether the source of this knowledge was what they lived through in terms of Waqf, or what their readings were focused around, bypassing religious barriers and narrow geographical borders.

Accordingly, this study comes to answer an articulated problem centered around the extent of Orientalist thought’s interest in the issue of Waqf, by presenting three models of studies, using a set of research methods, most notably the descriptive and analytical method as basic approaches, in addition to the comparative approach and the inductive approach as secondary approaches.

The study concluded with a set of important results, the most prominent of which is the study of the size and diversity of the Orientalist interest in the issue of the Waqf, which is considered as a testimony of recognition and acknowledgment by these people of the sophistication and humanity of Islamic civilization, which requires researchers to pay more attention to translating and studying such Western studies.
