The Arabian Gulf and eastern Arabia were in constant contact with ancient southern Iraq, and evidence of this contact can be found in the presence of trace amounts of the Ubaid civilization at various stages.

Those Ubaid remains were represented in pottery models with Ancient Mesopotamia handprints that spread along the Arabian Gulf coast from north to south.

The traces of the Ubaid civilization have spread in a large number of sites in the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula, with the majority of these impacts in the north, close to the Ubaid sites, and then declining as we moved south.

Several studies on the spread of the Ubaid civilization in the Arabian Gulf and the peninsula have been conducted, but those studies have focused on the fifth and fourth millennia BC.

The studies that dealt with the civilized links between the two regions did not place a high value on the sixth millennium BC, nor did they cover all of its regions; thus, this study aims to shed light on these sites and their effects during the sixth millennium BC, as well as the most important traces of Ubaid.
