Foreign trade has become an engine of economic growth, in the light of increasing concept of globalization and the diffusion international economic blocs.

Egypt's foreign commodity trade is one of the most important axes of economic cooperation with Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The research problem is a reduction in Egypt's commodity trade with GCC countries, which not compatible with the Egyptian economic ambition.

This is reflected in a deficit in the Egyptian trade balance, and a difficulty of obtaining the foreign exchange which is necessary for economic development.

Where the percentage of Egyptian commodity exports to the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries amounted to about 11% of the total Egyptian commodity exports during the period (2000-2020).

While the percentage of Egyptian commodity imports from Gulf Cooperation Council Countries amounted to about 10.3% of the total Egyptian commodity imports at the same period.

Therefore, the research aims to identify methods to improve Egypt's commodity trade with Gulf Countries.

And identify the most important challenges facing it, in order to get the most important proposals which will promote this trade, among the most important proposals are the support of the productive base, and integration into global value chains, the development of maritime transport and related logistics, combat bureaucratic problems and administrative corruption.
