Abstract EN

The current research aimed to identify the role of the Islamic Association in Spain in facing the challenges of the Muslim minority there, the positive and negative aspects of the association's activities, reveal how the association was established and its most important objectives, and to identify the forces and factors affecting it.

The researcher used the descriptive and critical approach to achieve the previous objectives.

The results of the research revealed the similarity of the general and private objectives of all Islamic societies and centers in Spain, which were mostly unclear and undefined.

The results also showed that educational and social concerns come at the forefront of the activities of the Islamic Society, and that the cultural and religious seminars presented are purposeful and have a positive impact on many of those who visit Association.

However, there are a number of negatives that hinder the work of the association, some of which relate to formal Spanish parties that deal with the Islamic Association, and others are related to the association itself .

The issue of minorities has proven to be one of the thorniest topics in the research arena since the decades of the nineties due to the emerging issues in which the minority community demands the realization of its rights that protect it from the turmoil facing the world.
