The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of e-therapy using exposure to virtual reality in treating social phobia among preparatory year students at Shaqra University.

The study tool was carried out on a group of 500 preparatory year students in the faculty of Science and Humanities Studies and the faculty of Applied Medical Sciences to identify the spread level of social phobia level among preparatory year students.

Twenty-four students, who had a high level of social phobia, were chosen.

They were divided equally into two equal groups (experimental and control).

A social phobia scale for university students was prepared.

An e-therapy program using the method of exposure to virtual reality was also prepared.

The study’s findings showed that 22% of students have social phobia and confirmed the effectiveness of e-therapy using virtual reality exposure on remediating social phobia among preparatory year students.
