Abstract EN

Childhood is one of the important indicators by which the progress and development of societies are measured.

From this point of view, the Sultanate of Oman cares about the child, as it realizes the importance of his future role in strengthening the foundations of the country, protecting its lands, and raising its status among nations.

The study aimed to identify the expected difficulties that a social worker may face in activating the Conven-tion on the Rights of the Child, and to identify the difficulties of activating the Convention on the Rights of the Child from the point of view of social workers in the Sultanate's schools, according to gender, educational level, academic qualification, specialization and governorate, in addition to reaching some proposals to address the difficulties of activating Convention on the Rights of the Child in schools in the Sultanate of Oman.

The study relied on the type of descriptive analytical study using the social survey method, and one of the most important difficulties that the study found was the lack of a financial item for the social worker within the school budget to help him activate the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in addition to the inappropriate social and economic conditions experienced by some children in families.
