Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to know the factors that drive employees to steal and how management is addressing this problem in the Islamic University of Gaza.

It has used the descriptive analytical methodology and the population of the study consists of all employees (80) working in the colleges of Commerce and Sharee'ah in the university with a response rate of 58 questionnaire.

- The most important findings of the study: - There is an inverse relationship between employee support and remedies; more effective remedies used by management the less support the employee receives.

- There is an inverse relationship between approval and acclaim and remedies and this shows that the administration does not agree with the staff using university property for personal interest because this is not permissible according to Sharee'ah and contrary to the philosophy of the Islamic University where managers stroke an example.

- The University Administration did not make a major effort to clarify the cost of theft by employee.

- Based on these findings, the researcher recommends the following : - The need to focus on effective remedies which reduce the immoral behaviors.

- The need to understand the factors that drive employees to think of the theft.

- the need to clarify the cost of theft made by the employees the respected treatment to subordinates by manager and the University Administration.
