Abstract EN

The current study aimed at uncovering the mechanism in which the legal framework for organizing the youth work in Jordan has addresses the position of youth through the applicable laws, regulations and rules, and determine the cases, challenges, and legal obstacles which influence youth and their behavior, reaching to a comprehensive legislative environment that contributes to the making of a new generation of youth, and be aware of the mechanism that contributes to the formulation of a space for youth's expression and engagement in active political life in order to become active members in the society.

The descriptive analytical approach was used in the study through including legal texts that are directly related to the subject of research and the regulations and instructions of legal framework for organizing youth work, and clarifying the jurisprudence that was addressed in the study.

Based on the study outputs and his practical experience in the same field, the researcher concluded several results, the most important of which is that there is no unanimity as to the definition of the youth age group affecting the legislation.

Moreover, there is no comprehensive legal framework in the youth work field in terms of legislation, and there is no legal framework that regulates the bodies in the organizations that work with youth.

In addition, there is a rapid increase in establishing youth centers, which were an outcome of administrative decisions not out of actual needs in a number of areas that led to weakness in programs provided to youth.

Lastly, the researcher concluded the need for continuous coordination between organizations working with youth, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Higher Education being in charge of first level of education.
