The purpose of the present research is investigating the importance of some competencies needed for teachers in the field of inclusive education from the perspectives of specialists in special education.
The quantitative descriptive and analytical approach was followed and data were collected via a questionnaire form developed by the researcher and applied on a sample of (107) individuals specialized in special education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Collected data were analyzed on SPSS 17.0 software and the results showed that the importance of personal and professional competencies required for teachers in the field of inclusive came to a very important degree for all dimensions and the overall degree.
The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences for the importance of personal and professional competencies according to the variable of specialization field, and the presence of statistically significant differences for the importance of the personal and professional competencies required for teachers of comprehensive education according to the qualification's degree variable, and the differences came in favor of the postgraduate category (Master, PhD).
The most prominent recommendations of the study were the need to pay attention to Education Teacher Based-Competency Performance by preparing student teachers in the field of inclusive education during pre-service education in colleges and providing them with the personal and professional competencies necessary for them, and to pay attention to training and continuous professional development refining the personal and professional competencies of teachers in service.
