The current study aimed to identify the degree to which teachers of public and private kindergartens in the city of Baghdad possess educational competencies, and to know the impact of kindergarten type variables (governmental, private) and the academic achievement of teachers and their years of experience in the degree to which they possess these competencies.
of (200) of Baghdad, next to Karkh, who were chosen by random method.
To achieve the objective of the study, a tool was built to measure the level of educational competencies, which consisted of (38) items that achieved acceptable levels of validity and reliability.
The results of the study showed that the level of kindergarten teachers' possession of educational competencies is generally average.
It was also found that there is no significant difference between governmental and private kindergarten teachers in educational competencies, and there are statistically significant differences in the degree of possession of educational competencies according to the educational qualification variable for government and private kindergarten teachers (university and above), and for the experience variable, it was found that there is a difference in favor of years of experience for teachers Kindergarten (11 years and over).
