Abstract EN

The research aims to analyze the content of the chemistry book for the fourth scientific grade in the light of the thinking skills of the knowledge economy.

To achieve the goal of the research, the two researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and represented the research community in the chemistry book for the fourth scientific grade for the academic year (2019).

The two researchers built the search tool, and after checking the psychometric properties, the tool became in its final form, consisting of (5) sub-skills and (24) indicators.

The content of the chemistry book for the fourth scientific grade was analyzed according to the indicators specified in the tool, and the researcher adopted the idea (explicit and implicit) as a unit of registration and repetition as a unit of enumeration.

The results showed that the analysis skill ranked first with a percentage (30%) of (518) iterations, then followed by the skill of control, direction and balancing (23%) (396) iterations, followed by the skill of making decisions (20%) (348).

Repeatedly, then followed by the problem solving skill (16%) (279) recurrence, and the last place was the skill of suggestions and their employment by (11%) (200) recurrence.

According to these results, the researchers presented a set of conclusions and recommendations.
