The aim of the research is to identify the common problems in diagnosing students with learning difficulties from the point of view of teachers, as well as the significance of the differences in teachers' viewpoints about the problems of diagnosing students with learning difficulties according to the variables: (age, gender).

The research relied on the descriptive survey method, by applying the research tool on a sample consisting of (521) male and female teachers who were chosen in a stratified random manner from the basic schools affiliated to the education directorates in Duhok Governorate, which are ten directorates.

For the purpose of collecting information, a questionnaire was prepared that included ( 68) items divided into four areas: (problems related to schools, problems related to detection procedures, problems related to diagnosis and its tools, problems related to the student), and in front of each paragraph there are four alternatives for the answer, which are: (to a large degree, to a medium degree, to a small extent, there is no problem ), and the indications of the validity of the tool were verified by presenting it to a committee of arbitrators, and an agreement rate (80%) was adopted among the experts as a criterion for the validity of the paragraph.

As for the stability, it was calculated through the use of the retest method and the Cronbach alpha method, and for the purpose of statistical data processing, the statistical bag was used For Social Sciences (SPSS), the application of equations of arithmetic mean, standard deviation, analysis of variance, correlation coefficient, and t-test for one sample and for two independent samples.

The results showed that there are many problems facing the process of diagnosing students with learning difficulties from the point of view of teachers on the four axes of the questionnaire.
