The article deals with exposure to one of the phenomena that corroded the body of academic research at all levels, which is the phenomenon of scientific or literary theft, or what is known as plagiarism and breach of scientific honesty.

the phenomenon transcended its scientific aspects to become ethical, and confronting it with prevention became one of the ways to reduce it, which called for the guardianship bodies of the higher education sector.

and scientific research thinking about finding tools to limit the growth of the phenomenon by supporting the legislative organization in order to prevent and deter those responsible.

this was through the issuance of ministerial resolution 1082 dated December 27, 2020 specifying the rules related to the prevention of scientific theft and ways to combat it, as we try to present and analyze what the resolution dealt with from briefing the aspects of the phenomenon and identifying its forms
