Abstract EN

The present study aims to highlight the procedural and penal protections provided by the Algerian legislator to the process of ballot count of the voters through the organic law 08 / 19 related to the electoral system, especially since ensuring the accuracy and safety of this stage which is an imperative need to preserve the credibility of the electoral process as a whole.

on this basis, the Algerian legislator has worked to provide double protection for this sensitive stage of the elections, based on the procedural aspect represented in the various legal procedures in which the legislator seized the members of the voting office during their ballot count, and on the criminal side based on the criminalization of a group of acts that violate the credibility and integrity of the process electoral campaign during this stage.
