Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree of practicing management by exception among the heads of academic departments at Al-Baha University and its relation to organizational trust among faculty members.

The descriptive correlational approach was used, and a questionnaire was used to collect data, and the research sample was 547 faculty members.

The study found a number of results, including that the practice of the heads of academic departments for the management by exception came to a high degree from the point of view of the study sample, with (M= 3.83, SD= 1.02), While the level of organizational trust among faculty members was also highly, (M= 4.09, SD= 1.08).

The study concluded that there is a positive direct relationship with statistical significance at the level of significance (0.05 ≥α) between the degree of practice of the heads of academic departments of management by exception and the level of organizational trust among faculty members, where the value of the Pearson correlation coefficient was (0.472).

However, this result indicated that the degree of practice of the heads of academic departments at Al-Baha University of the management by exception contribute to achieve high level of organizational trust among faculty members.

Finally, a number of recommendations were developed.

The most important recommendation is the emphasis on the need for continuous attention to applied the method of management by exception among heads of academic departments, because of its great importance to achieve high level of organizational trust among faculty members.
