Abstract EN

The aimed of this study to study the impact of liquidity management on the profitability of banks, and assumed that ther is a statistically significant relationship between liquidity management and profitability by applying to the Middle East Bank in Iraq.

The descriptive approach was used and the data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical package.

The study concluded several results, the most important of which are: that the average liquidity rate is very high, which is a negative indicator of liquidity management, and that the bank’s ability to increase the wealth of owners appears to be few and varying from year to year, and that the relationship between cash liquidity and the rate of return on ownership reached 83.7%, It is a significant correlation at the level of significance of 1%.

The study recommended the need to review the liquidity rates, and the liquidity management strategies in the bank, as well as the need to develop a strategy to increase the wealth of owners and reduce the discrepancy from year to year.
