Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the problems and effects of the war on women and children.

The researcher employed an analytical descriptive approach in describing and analyzing the impact of the war on women and children in Yemen depending on reports published by international and local organizations, and relative research studies.

Among the most important findings of the study re the following: -The circle of poverty has been widened to include the vast majority of the population, most of whom are women, as women are more vulnerable to poverty than men due to the lower wages that women earn compared to what men earn.

- Women face many difficulties during pregnancy and childbirth due to poor health services, and the spread of malnutrition among women and children.

- the deterioration of the health condition has led to dwarfing of children, high rates of child mortality, widows, family disintegration, divorces, and women’s exposure to violence.
