in English: This research aims to clarify the role of the International Monetary Fund in treating economic crises in general, and treating the Corona virus crisis in the year 2020 AD in particular, as a set of approaches was relied upon in its preparation, including: the descriptive approach, the inductive approach, and the analytical approach, through Extrapolation, clarification and analysis of information, and the research concluded that the International Monetary Fund has a set of programs that it relies on in the treatment of economic crises, such as: stabilization programs, structural adjustment programs, stress programs.

Reliance was placed on stabilization and structural adjustment programs through the use of fiscal and monetary policy, in addition to obligating member states to correct economic conditions by supporting the economic and health sectors to get out of the crisis.
