Abstract EN

The main aim of the present study is to explore students’ attitudes toward distance learning compared to direct learning in accordance of measures countering the Corona virus (Covid-19) and its relationship to psychological adjustment.

The final sample consisted of (200) students.

This study includes the following tools: a) Scale of attitudes of students toward distance learning and direct learning (SAL), b) Psychological Adjustment Scale (PAS).

The results of the study concluded that there are positive attitudes among students towards direct learning and distance learning.

There are positive attitudes among students towards direct learning came in the first place, while positive attitudes among students towards distance learning came in the second place.

There are two influencing variables in creating positive attitudes among students towards distance learning, namely: nationality and location (governorate), while there is one variable that positively affects positive attitudes among students towards direct learning, which is: governorate.

There are no significant differences between students with a positive attitudes towards distance learning and students with negative attitudes towards distance learning in the previous GPA, the total score of psychological adjustment, personal adjustment, and health adjustment.

There were significant differences between the two groups in family adjustment, social adjustment, and age in favor of students with a negative attitudes towards distance learning.

There are no significant differences between students with a positive attitudes towards direct learning and students with a negative attitudes towards direct learning in the GPA, the total score of psychological adjustment, personal adjustment, health adjustment, and social adjustment.

There were significant differences between the two groups in family adjustment and age towards students with positive attitudes towards direct learning.
