The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a counseling program for developing psychological tranquility in reducing academic stress among university students.

The study sample consisted of (30) female students who were divided into two equal groups, the first being an experimental group, numbering (15) students, and the second a control group, numbering (15) students.

Their ages ranged between (18-19) years.

The two researchers used the psychological reassurance scale (prepared by the two researchers), the academic stress scale (prepared by the two researchers), the economic and social level form prepared by Abdul Aziz the person (2013), and the counseling program (prepared by the two researchers), and the results of the study concluded that there are differences Statistically significant between the average ranks of the levels of psychological reassurance among the members of the experimental group and the control group in the post measurement in favor of the experimental group, and the results of the study also indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the degrees of psychological reassurance among the members of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement, as well as The results of the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the degrees of psychological reassurance among the members of the experimental group in the values The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the academic stress degrees among the members of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement.

The experimental group in the post and follow-up measurements, which indicates the continuity of the impact of the counseling program for developing psychological tranquility and reducing academic stress.
