The current research aims to verify the effectiveness of a counseling program for the development of emotional creativity among academically superior students in the second cycle of basic education.
The research sample consisted of (28) male and female from academically superior students and have low scores on the emotional creativity scale, and their ages ranged between (14-15) years, with a mean age of (13, 821), and a standard deviation (0.491), and the research followed the quasi-experimental approach, and the research Instruments included: Emotional creativity scale (Prepared by the researcher), and the counseling program (prepared by the researcher), and the research results showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the means ranks of the academically superior students in the experimental and control groups scores in the post-measurement on the emotional creativity scale (emotional readiness, emotional authenticity, emotional effectiveness, and total score) in favor of the experimental group, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the means ranks of the experimental group scores in the pre and post measurements on the emotional creativity scale (emotional preparedness, emotional authenticity, emotional effectiveness, and total score) in favor of the post measurement, and the results also showed a high statistically significant effect of the counseling program in developing emotional creativity (emotional preparedness, emotional authenticity, emotional effectiveness, and total score) among the academically superior students.
