Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the importance and status of small and medium enterprises and their role in achieving economic diversification as a possible outlet and a strategic solution to reduce dependence on a single resource in achieving the process of economic and social development.

In Algeria, implanting more of these institutions and activating them in various disciplines as working for their sustainability by providing an appropriate business climate.

The results of this study revealed that economic diversification is limited to the problems and difficulties to overcome.

Small and medium enterprises have not yet achieved the goals set for them and to the extent required, despite the efforts made by the state.

The development of these institutions and the use of modern technology and benefit from the experiences of leading countries in this field would be raised with these institutions to a higher degree that ensures the provision of diversification and competitiveness.
