The aim of the current research is to determine the priorities for seeking social support among a sample of breast cancer survivors, and to reveal the extent to which seeking social support can predict posttraumatic growth.

The sample age ranged from 32 to 59 years, with a mean of "47.2 years" and a standard deviation of "6.6 years, 69% of the sample were in a medium socioeconomic level, and the number of educational years ranged from 9 to 16 years, 80% of them were married, they were diagnosed with breast cancer From the first, second and third stages, the time since diagnosis ranged from one to five years.

The following tools prepared by the researcher: The posttraumatic growth list and the social support request list.

The results concluded that parents, husband and kids are the priority of support seeking, the analysis of simple linear regression showed that the degree of seeking social support did not contribute to predict the posttraumatic growth, the result was interpreted in the light of Calhoun and Tedeschi's explanatory model of posttraumatic growth, and the cultural factors of the phenomenon of posttraumatic growth.
