Abstract EN

The study aims to highlight the political influence of the Tunisian labor movement on political decisions and events, and the role of the Tunisian general labor union in light of the December 17, 2010 uprising.

we concluded from the study that there is an interconnected relationship between political activity and union activity in Tunisia, as the Tunisian labor union had a decisive role in the success of the uprising of December 17, 2010, whether in accumulating or framing the uprising or in managing the transitional phase, he succeeded relatively in managing the national dialogue and in establishing consensual democracy.

however, the Tunisian experience faced obstacles, most notably the dominance of political activity over demand activity and the difficulty of maintaining its independence in light of attempts to dominate it by the authorities and political parties.
