Abstract EN

The study aims to stand on the reality of the investment climate in Algeria and its role in attracting foreign direct investment flows and achieving economic diversification during the period 1996-2020, in addition to highlighting Algeria's position through the most important indicators of the investment climate compared to some Arab countries.

The study found that there is a direct short- and long-term relationship between the gross domestic product outside the hydrocarbon sector and each of: foreign direct investment flows outside the hydrocarbon sector, exports outside the hydrocarbon sector, and this indicates that the investment climate can have an effective role in promoting economic diversification.
