Abstract EN

This study treatment to review the thought of the contemporary fundamentalist movement and the problematic ideological understanding of religion.

This is in view of the controversy it has raised within the contemporary Arab and Islamic zeitgeist; where it took on an ideological and political character.

This was manifested in its use for strategic aims, especially by the United States of America and the Arab regimes, and the latter did not find a suitable way to break from its ideological thesis, especially in view of the inability of the jurists to contain the situation.

Within this critical context, Hajj Hamad launched his alternative in order to put an end to the extremism and radicality of contemporary fundamentalist thought.

To accomplish this, he employed a critical approach, andseeing its essence qur’anic methodology aimed at reversing attempts
