Contribution à l’analyse de la diplomatie économique de l’Algérie en Afrique Subsaharienne

The objective of this contribution is to understand the role of economic diplomacy in the promotion of trade and the level of investment between Algeria and the countries of the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Based on a descriptive and analytical approach of some data related to the evolution of the volume of trade and investment between Algeria and this area, this contribution shows that the economic diplomacy of Algeria is still embryonic in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Algeria is developing an African economic policy based on energy resources, transport infrastructure, security and peace, and its companies are almost absent in the policy of conquering Sub-Saharan markets.

The results of the research conclude on the need to remove the obstacles slowing down the exports, in particular the non-hydrocarbon exports, of Algeria towards the Sub-Saharan Africa and this by capitalizing on its geostrategic position and the prestigious policies maintained in Africa.
