It seems that most of the poems of the book “Algeria’s poets in the present age” by al-Zahri refer to the question of the renaissance, which troubled reform scholars and men of thought, culture and literary creativity in colonial Algeria, which found its personality fading and gradually merging into western civilization.

the research seeks to know the intellectual backgrounds from which the poets of the book started and how the question of the renaissance fell on their poetic creativity.

for the preparation of this research, I relied on the descriptive-analytical approach, because it helps to describe and analyze the phenomenon studied.
