This paper aims to present the corpus linguistics as an introduction to the contemporary lexical industry, while highlighting the methodological and computational capabilities offered by this field in drawing the outlines of a lexical database for the Arabic language, which we can benefit from in the manufacture of school dictionaries, according to conditions that keep pace with the requirements of the twenty-first century learners.
