تعتمد الرواية التجريبية في بناء مضمونها على انعكاس ما حولها، فكل ما يحيط بها هو وجبة تتغذى عليها لتظهر بالبنية التي تثير ذائقة المتلقي، و يعد التاريخ إحدى هذه الوجبات الدسمة التي لا تفتأ تعود إليها كلما زارها جوع التجديد، فالمغامرة التي يمنحها التاريخ لا تكاد تقارن بغيره من المرجعيات التي تستند إليها بسبب ما يحمله من خفايا و أسرار تستفز الكاتب لسبر أغوارها و كشف المسكوت عنه داخلها.
