This study aims to accurately define each of the concept of good governance and sustainable development, highlight the most important mechanisms of good governance, clarify their role and impact in activating sustainable development, and explore the relationship between them.

in this study, we relied on the descriptive approach to determine the conceptual aspect of sustainable development and good governance, among the results it reached is that there is a close and interdependent relationship between good governance and sustainable development so that it can be said that good governance came in order to create a correct and appropriate environment free from manifestations of corruption and thus achieve sustainable good governance, and the need to embody it on the ground through rational and rational exploitation.
