Abstract EN

This study aims to show the role of renewables as a means to achieve sustainable development, as well as to show the state of solar energy in Algeria through the national program for renewable energies, were it relied on the descriptive analytical approach.

the study concluded that the global production of renewable energies is on a continuous and rapid increase during the period 2016-2021, especially in light of the low costs of renewable energies, thus contributing to echieving sustainable development, the countries of Asia were pioneers in this field, as china ranked first in the world, Algeria did not remain in isolation from that, as it developed a promising program to achieve sustainable development from renewable energy sources, especially solar energy.
