Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to understand the importance of monetary policy and the extent of its contribution to monetary stability in Algeria for the period 20002020.

This is done through an analytical study of the evolution of monetary policy instruments and their role in controlling the money supply and inflation.

It was concluded that monetary policy instruments have contributed to monetary stability for intervals, and this is due to the nature of the Algerian economy, which is characterized by dependence on the fuel sector, which is the primary source of growth of the monetary bloc and the rise in gross output.

It is therefore advisable to work on the development of other economic sectors, in order to achieve a better level of economic growth
