Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to cast about the nature of the relationship between the level of self-esteem and skill performance in gymnastics among students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, where the descriptive approach was used due to its suitability to the nature of the study.

The 44 students were deliberately selected for the academic year 2020-2021 in Laghouat city.

The first questionnaire was used.

The results of the study are as following: - The students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports possess a high level of self-esteem.

- The students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports have an average level of skill performance in gymnastics -The level of self-esteem affects the skill performance in gymnastics among students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
