In Linguistics, emphasis, like other concepts, demands a verbal structure in order to be communicated by the addressee.

therefore, this study requires an examination of the structure and forms by which the 'emphatic' meaning is transferred.

these forms and structures are various and different.

in this study, the researcher follows the analytic, descriptive methodology to find, in the first place, the verses that talk about the heaven and the hell, and then infer the emphatic meanings that they convey, both their noun phrase and verb phrase.

given the fact that the heaven and the hell belong to the knowledge of the unseen, the study explores how this methodology contributes to the consolidation of faith and belief in the hearts of people.

this contribution is achieved in the Quran by foregrounding, using short statements, repetition, and the syntactic tools.

it was revealed that "surely" has been widely used in the Quran in order to consolidate the belief and faith in people and to condemn the nonbelievers who seek to deny the facts about the heaven and hell, punishment and reward.
