The research deals with the opinions of scholars on the hamza and the vowels (alif, waw,and yaa), and who says that hamza is a vowel, and what are its justifications ? It shows the characteristics of the hamza and vowels, and compares these characteristics.

It reviews some words in which vowels are changed to hamza, and vice versa, and tries to clarify the justifications for this replacement.

It reviews some of the words in which the hamza letter is deleted, the vowel of this deletion, and its relationship to the deletion of vowels in some words as an allele, and in the same locations of the word.

The researcher balances the opinions to reach the answer to the research title question.
